This year’s theme is “Wehr’s Heritage: 50 Years – Rooted & Growing” with Wehr history displays and special guest “Johnny Appleseed.” \n\n\nThis year\, expect to: \n\nMeet and have your picture taken with “Johnny Appleseed”\nListen to the sounds of live music from The Bluegrass Allstars and The Sweet Sheiks\nAmble the trails among the autumn colors\, enjoy a new apple-themed Story Stroll and sensory scavenger hunt\nParticipate in an interactive presentation with live animals by David Stokes\nEnjoy tasty apple treats and handmade apple cider\, as well as homemade cider beer provided by the Milwaukee Beer Barons\nEngage in pumpkin bowling\, children’s crafts\, activities\, and more!\n\nCider Sunday is the Friends of Wehr Nature Center’s largest fundraiser and supports the center’s vision to be a regional leader in providing access to nature for all. Proceeds benefit the educational programming and land management that help make Wehr Nature Center a natural gem in southeastern Wisconsin. \n+ $7/person includes parking\, free entry for children under 2 \n+ Friends of Wehr members free\, no parking fee

SUMMARY:Wild Ones of Southeast Wisconsin
DESCRIPTION:Wild Ones is the only national organization promoting the use of native plants in natural landscaping to promote a healthy biodiverse landscape. Our own Wehr chapter meets year-round to share their passion and knowledge of native landscaping with each other and the public. Members host tours of their naturally landscaped yards\, do seed collecting\, take field trips to local natural areas and offer educational programs to the public. Second Saturday of the month\, October to April\, 1:30-3:00 pm. Meets offsite May – September.
