The Gardner Room in Wehr Nature Center overlooks Mallard Lake and surrounding natural areas. To expand your event, you may also rent the outdoor amphitheater, pier, and viewing deck.

Wehr Birthday Parties

Want to make your child’s birthday a unique and fun experience? Have a party with us at the Wehr Nature Center! We provide a variety of nature-themed parties that your child can enjoy with their guests.

Reptiles and Amphibians

Age Group: 4-12 Year Olds

Snakes, turtles, toads, and salamanders will excite and delight the kids at your party! Kids will learn new facts about these creatures while getting up close and personal with our scaly friends. The whole party will enjoy a guided hike and complete a fun nature craft to take home.

Stars in the Starlab*

Age Group: 7-12 Year Olds

Kids will make an astronomy project and spend time in our portable planetarium, “The Starlab,” where they can see constellations and hear the stories they tell. Then explore the open skies with a guided tour.
