Celebrating Accessibility, Inclusion & Outdoor Exploration at Wehr Nature Center

Join us for an inclusive Open House celebrating Wehr Nature Center’s commitment to equitable access to the outdoors for people of all ages and abilities. This free community event invites everyone to explore nature through accessible experiences, adaptive recreation, and meaningful connections with local accessibility partners.

Enjoy summer picnic snacks from local vendors, discover adaptive outdoor equipment, and participate in activities designed to support a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. We believe everyone deserves access to nature — and this event is designed to empower all abilities to love, experience, and value the natural world.

Note: The event is free but parking is $5 per car; free for persons with disabilities (with handicapped signs displayed).
